Weightology Weekly: Insulin…The Final Chapter
These articles represent the last of my series on insulin. They are also the last Weightology Weekly articles that will be freely available to view by the public. I will be moving to a subscription model. It will be some time before the next articles as I get the subscription section of the site set up. I will still make occasional Weightology blog posts that will be freely available to view by all.
In this issue:
- The Biggest Insulin Myth Continued. In part 4 of this series, you learned that insulin is not required for cells to take up glucose. You also learned that an uncontrolled type I diabetic is hyperglycemic because of overproduction of glucose by the liver, not because glucose can't get into cells. In this article, you'll learn how insulin regulates blood sugar in response to meals, and what is happening in a type II diabetic in regards to insulin. Click here to learn more.
- Insulin: The Finale. In this article you'll learn why the carbohydrate/insulin hypothesis is an example of cognitive miserliness. You will also find this series summarized. Click here to read more.

Carmelo,
This article makes the same mistake that other people make regarding carbohydrate…that a high carbohydrate diet automatically leads to high insulin levels. Please read my series on insulin which illustrates the problem with this thinking.
I’m definitely going to subscribe 🙂
